Morningside sits east of our clinic, out toward the University of Toronto Scarborough and Centennial College campuses, and a good number of our patients from that direction are students juggling classes with everything else, alongside longtime Morningside families.

A Dental Office Close to Morningside

Morningside sits east of our clinic, out toward the University of Toronto Scarborough and Centennial College campuses, and a good number of our patients from that direction are students juggling classes with everything else, alongside longtime Morningside families.

For students, the appeal is usually scheduling: lectures and labs do not leave much room for a weekday dental appointment, so our weekend hours on Saturday and Sunday tend to fit a class schedule better than a weekday-only office would.

For Morningside families, it is more often about finding a dental office that feels unhurried and speaks their language, literally — our team sees patients in nine languages, including Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, and Spanish.

Getting Here from Morningside

By car, the drive from Morningside runs west along Lawrence Avenue East, passing through the university and college area before continuing to our clinic near Markham Road. Even though a few of our neighbourhoods sit closer, the route itself is easy to follow, since you stay on Lawrence Avenue East for nearly the whole way rather than cutting through side streets.

By TTC, the 116 Morningside bus connects down toward Lawrence Avenue East, and the 54 Lawrence East bus continues that route west to a stop close to our door. For students coming from campus, it is usually a single transfer between the two.

Parking

  • Free plaza parking directly at the clinic, useful if you are driving over between classes
  • No permits or paid meters, unlike parking near campus
  • Easy in-and-out for a quick visit between classes

Nearby Landmarks

  • The University of Toronto Scarborough and Centennial College area, east along Morningside and Ellesmere
  • The 116 Morningside bus route, connecting south toward Lawrence Avenue East
  • The Markham Road corridor, marking the last stretch west along Lawrence Avenue East

Fitting a Dentist Around a Student or Family Schedule

Students from around UTSC and Centennial tell us the same thing most semesters: it is hard to find a dentist that is open when classes are not. Being open on Saturday and Sunday, as well as every weekday, means you can usually book around a lecture schedule rather than skipping one.

For Morningside families who have been coming to us for years, the draw is a bit different: consistency, a team that remembers your kids' names, and a location that is a straightforward drive or bus ride west along Lawrence Avenue East, without the traffic of a downtown clinic.

New Patients Welcome from Morningside

Whether you are a student setting up dental care away from home for the first time, or a Morningside family looking for a change, getting started is simple. We can request records from a previous dentist, and your first visit includes a full exam so we know exactly where things stand.

Students often ask whether it makes sense to register with a dentist so far from home if they are only in the area part of the year. If that describes you, we are happy to talk through what makes sense, whether that is a single visit or ongoing care during the school year.
