Care in your language

Arabic-Speaking Dentist in Scarborough

When you can describe a problem in Arabic and hear your options back in Arabic, a dental visit stops feeling like a translation exercise. Ask us in advance and we will arrange an Arabic-speaking member of the team for you.

أهلاً وسهلاً

In Arabic, أهلاً وسهلاً is a warm way to say “welcome”. If it is the language you are most comfortable in, we would be glad to arrange your visit around it.

Understanding comes before treatment

Good dentistry depends on a good conversation. We need to hear your history accurately, and you need to grasp what is being recommended and why, before you agree to it. If any of that is happening in a language you are still learning, the risk is that you nod along to something you have not fully followed, which is not real consent at all.

When the discussion is in Arabic, those risks fall away. You can lay out your medical history in detail, describe symptoms exactly as you feel them, and ask about anything that does not sit right. That is the kind of exchange that lets you make a genuine, informed choice about your own care rather than a guessed one.

Booking an Arabic-speaking visit

Requesting Arabic support is simple and needs to be done only once, when you book. Add a note to the online appointment form, or say so when you call the office, and we record it with your file. From there we plan your appointment around a team member who speaks Arabic, so the arrangement is ready and waiting on the day you come in.

In the room, the important discussions happen in Arabic: your history, what the dentist finds, and the options you have. The written forms we use are in English, so a team member reads through them with you in Arabic and helps you complete each part, which keeps the documents from becoming the barrier the spoken care already isn't.

Rooted in a multilingual Scarborough

Scarborough draws people from across the world, and that mix is one of its strengths. A dental practice here should be able to meet patients in the language they live in, and for many of ours that language is Arabic. It often means a family can come together, with parents and grandparents seen in the same visit and the same familiar words.

You will find the clinic on Lawrence Avenue East, with free parking in the plaza and the Lawrence East bus routes stopping outside the door. We keep the doors open all seven days of the week, so an Arabic-speaking appointment can be arranged for whatever day and time actually fits around your work and your household.
